Hello! Boy, it's rough when you don't get a good night's sleep. Emily has her nights when she just won't cooperate. I try to let her sort it out before I go see what she needs. It's hard not to pick her up but eventually I do. Sometimes I'll be holding her and looking at her beautiful, peaceful face. All of a sudden she'll smile while she's asleep and then her body will start to shake as she laughs. I wonder what's so funny - is she dreaming? It doesn't last long but when I get to see it, it just warms my heart. I remember her doing that a lot when she was younger. Maybe it's gas - hahahaha!
I know she can sleep through the night but since she's moving around a lot she winds up in the oddest positions in her crib and I don't want her to hit her head or get stuck between the rails.
Maybe our wind down routine needs to be a little longer? We do a bath, give her a bit of oatmeal and then we let her play quietly with stuffed animals and books while listening to soft music. Then she gets her last bottle. Sometimes she falls asleep while she's getting the bottle. I know everyone says not to let that happen but oh well.
Anyway, I'll keep working on it. Hopefully I'll be able to sleep longer at night too.
