Mommy Therapy
Being a mom is everything they said it would be and more! Some days (like yesterday) I run out of steam and have a little mommy meltdown. I know I'm just relieving stress. Emily's a good baby but nights of interrupted sleep take their toll on my well being and sanity! I have decided that when I feel a meltdown coming on, I will pray and think of the many blessings of motherhood. It is very rewarding to see Emily grow and change. It really warms my heart in the morning when I see her in her crib and she is so excited that I'm there! If I'm on the living floor with her and I start thinking about unwashed dishes or a messy kitchen, she quickly reminds me that I'm where I should be with a big smile and a laugh. When I have time away from her I come back refreshed and ready to be mom again. It's not easy being a mom. I don't know how my mother did it. All my earliest memories of her are filled with smiles, love and happiness. She seemed to have it all together.

Fun Things
Well I've got to post some things that Emily is doing that just make me laugh and warm my heart. She has started to say "ma ma" and "na na". The first time I heard those words I just couldn't stop smiling. I don't think she knows what "ma ma" means but I think she knows it makes me very excited when she says it. Emily's crawling all over the place! It's amazing how fast she is. Her style of crawling is a combo of Army/bear crawl. She can stand holding on to furniture. And she is cutting the upper teeth so when she smiles or laughs her mouth looks too cute! The nights are getting better for all of us. I just hope this trend continues. I think that all her crawling makes her physically tired during the day so that helps at night. Ofcourse I can sleep at the drop of a hat anywhere anytime. One of Emily's favorite toys are the penguins that rock back and forth and sing. If she crawls too far away or goes somewhere she's not supposed to go, all I have to do is turn on those penguins and she comes back! I'm posting some Valentine pictures I took at the house. Pretty soon it'll be time for her first birthday! How time flies...

Snow Days in DFW
Playing in the snow with Emily.

Our house in the snow.
Well I'm just getting around to blogging again. Last week we had record snow fall here in DFW. We took Emily out to see the snow and she didn't know what to make of it. I just couldn't believe the accumulation we got. It was really neat seeing the snow fall all day long. It was like something out of a movie. There were several snowmen along our street. I'm posting some pictures of the snow. I can't believe it's snowed twice in Emily's life already!!
